Likes: Attention(!!), all types of food (not picky!), pine nuts and millet sprays
Dislikes: Being woken up suddenly, Not being given attention
Diet Notes: Colton requires a low-protein diet but still nutritious with good variety as he’s very food-motivated. You would need:
- Fatpouches Renal Mix (his favorite) and/or Rodipet Syrian Senior Mix mixed with Rodipet Hybrid.
- Fresh leafy green vegetables (xiao bai cai, baby kailan, etc)
- Avoid excessive mealworms and tofu as treats as they are higher in protein.
- Avoid lab blocks as Colton does not require a protein supplement for his daily diet.
Colton the Cotton is a soft floofer just like what inspired his name! Apart from his day job as Professional Cotton Ball, he becomes a floofy pancake in your hands. Colton is especially alert to any passerby. He sees attention potential and he WANTS attention. If ignored, he will give puppy eyes and paw the walls of his home. Always ready to be carried out and stays like the goodest boy he is in your palm, held firmly in place by the way his hind leg grips on your fingers. What Colton’s kidneys might lack in optimum function, is made up for in his love to give. All he wants is your daily attention and time, and GOOD FOOD. Being fed a buffet of selection of mixes at his fosterer’s, it’s clear which he runs to. Fatpouches is the clear winner, followed by Rodipet. See his mood lor. Poor boy can’t take alot of yummy protein to help to keep his renals in check, but variety in food is what does it for him. He’ll still live a good life to the fullest in a perfect home for him who will shower him with all the attention and special care he needs!
Sharkie (Adopted)
Species: Dwarf
Gender: Male
Est Age: 6 months
Likes: Food, food, food!
Dislikes: Sudden movements in his cage
Sharkie is a chubby boy who simply loves food, he greedily vacuums up his food once it’s served to him. He also has the funniest sleeping positions, usually squishing himself against the sides of the cage with his foot in the air.
If you can’t already tell from his name, Sharkie behaves like a shark. He charges towards your hand when you put it in, even if you just want to refill his food bowl or give him a pat. He’s extremely cage-territorial and will not hesitate to show his unhappiness by biting when something foreign is in his cage. However, once you manage to pick him up, he stays still in your hands and allows you to stroke him!
His fosterer is doing her best to change this habit of his to make him more sweet and manja, and he seems to be improving day by day! Adopters will have to be patient and continue with this taming process.
Will you be the one to tame this shark?
