Q: How do I know that my donation is being properly utilized?

HSS is a registered society under the Societies Act (UEN: T19SS0047DHSS) and we comply with our legal obligations to keep accounts and have them audited according to the Accounting Standards Act. This takes the form of an annual independent audit by an external auditor. Any irregularities will be flagged out.

HSS is a registered partner Animal Welfare Group (AWG) with the Animal and Veterinary Services (AVS).

Q: Can I donate even though I am not situated/ based in Singapore?

Unfortunately HSS is unable to accept any donations from outside of Singapore, but thank you for your generosity!

Due to manpower constraints, we are unable to personally verify every single donation that we receive (but we are working on it!) Generally, you can rest assured as long as the recipient shown on your device is “Hamster Society (Singapore)”
