Adopted!

Maize (Adopted)

Species: Dwarf Hybrid

Estimated DOB: 1 Dec 2020

Gender: Female

Likes: Mealworms, sand, GOOD food, millet sprays, wheel wheel wheel

Before you continue reading the girls’ profile, please check out this video of her and her sisters moving their ears in sync during their photoshoot. If the video above is not enough to make you go AWWW, please check out this Instagram highlight compilation of them!

The smallest one of the group, Maize is the most skittish and is also super speedy. She was also bullied, and always screaming and hiding away from the rest of her siblings :-( Now that she has her own cage, she will definitely regain her confidence in no time. Her fosterer will continue working hard and get her comfortable with human touch so please give her a chance!

Requirements

Diet: Fatpouches Standard/Premium seed mix + Mazuri lab blocks

Cage: Unbarred cage with a base of minimum 2800 sq cm

Wheel: 21cm or bigger

Bedding: Oxbow Pure Comfort

Sand: Wittemolen/Versele Laga Chinchilla sand

Enrichment: Multiple hideouts, sprays for enrichment

Mazuri (Adopted)

Species: Dwarf Hybrid

Estimated age: 6 - 7 months

Gender: Female

Likes: nibbling sprays, making burrows, unpouching food on her wheel like a weirdo, peeing in her wheel, vegetables and fruits

Dislikes: nothing much… but she doesn’t like her water bottle to be too low

Mazuri is an easygoing girl who has tamed down significantly since she arrived at her fosteror’s place. She shows her love for food by hoarding everything in her pouch and dumping it on her wheel to feast… seeds and sprays are guaranteed to win her over so come prepared! She comes trotting over when she hears plastic bags rustling in hopes of getting some snaccs. Please indulge her!

She is good natured and is happy to be handled once she gets used to you. She gets confused when she sees unfamiliar faces but give her some time to acquaint herself with you! Who knows, you might displace her wheel and become her favourite (thing) to unpouch on!

Mazuri also loves to burrow and a thick layer of bedding is required (~10cm). She also loves having 2 water points and alternates between the two depending on her mood. It’s recommended that her adopter provides a similar set up for her (preferably 1 water bottle and 1 water dish) so she has the luxury of choice.

Courage (Adopted)

Species: Winter White Hybrid Dwarf
Gender: Male
Est. Date of Birth: 31st October 2020
Likes: FOOD & everything good (nuts, baby food, mealworms, dried veggies, dried fruits, silken tofu, fresh veggies, all sprays), rolling & chilling in the sand, forage
Dislikes: Loud noises, stealing his food bowl

Courage is part of Mama Scout's litter. He was one of the greediest pup who kept stealing food from his siblings. This cheeky boy only looks at nothing but food hence he has grown to be one of the largest among his fellow brothers & sisters.

Now that he lives alone, he very much enjoys his undisturbed mealtimes while he sits in his food bowl. If you came to his cage bearing treats, he shall greet you. Being a foodie, he has shown signs of being a potential chonk!

He used to be very timid but had opened up so much. He is still a little nervous during bonding sessions with his fosterer, but has never bitten her while in her hands. As he was constantly handled since 3 weeks old, he is relatively tame. This light sleeper never fails to perk up & say whaddup to you whenever you pop by his cage.

If you can brave this journey ahead, Courage is the one for you!

Recommendations:

  • Cage: 70x40cm or bigger

  • Wheel: 21cm or larger

  • Diet: Bunny Nature Hamster Dream Expert and Science Select pellets, vegetables

  • Bedding: Oxbow unscented paper bedding

Ramen was rescued shortly after giving birth to a litter of five. Even with the stress of nursing and having moved from one environment to another, Ramen was still an affectionate furball who didn't let anything faze her!

She loves being carried and would frantically try to climb up your hand even if it were just there to fill up her bowl or clean her cage.

She will do great in a home where she can get the attention and love she craves, and is comfortable with children as too!

If you'd like to see more photos/videos of Ramen or have a chat about her, feel free to message @hammotoast on Instagram!
