Alaska was rescued mid-December when she was heavily pregnant. She gave birth to 6 beautiful babies the very next day and has since completed her tiring journey of being a mum. As a young hamster herself, Alaska is looking for a new family to shower her with a lot of love and baby her.

Raising 6 babies on her own was definitely not an easy feat as they were constantly clamouring to be breastfed and cuddled by her. Once the babies were weaned and separated from her, Alaska appeared to be much happier and started acting like a baby herself. Despite a rough start in life, she maintains a sunny disposition! She loves greeting anyone who walks past her cage by standing on her hind legs and pleading for attention. Alaska is a really friendly hamster who will be great for first-time owners.

Alaska is a ball of energy and she is always out and about. She is obsessed with running on her wheel and digging in coco peat (refer to fosterer’s Instagram highlight for videos of this, it’s super cute). Aside from exercise, Alaska also enjoys foraging for food. Her future adopter is highly recommended to buy sprays (flax, millet, oat, wheat, etc) for her to pluck and eat, and also occasionally scatter mealworms or other treats in her cage for her to find!

With Alaska at home, there will never be a dull moment. This girl really knows how to make people happy with her cute actions and endless energy, just look at her super cute pics! She happily sat on her bum, unpouched food from her cheeks and ate throughout the photoshoot.
