Barry (Adopted)

Gender: Male

Species: Dwarf

Est age: 7mths

Likes: Pine Nuts, Dried Tofu, Bedding, Giving Licks

Barry is a gentle and affectionate ham! He will stay still on the palm while receiving neck rubs, and it’s such a sight to see because he has a very unique coat colour! He loves giving licks on his fosterer's palm and will do whatever he can to get a pine nut treat!

Note:

Barry is now fully recovered from a very serious case of fungal and bacterial skin infection. Potential adopters need to note the following:

1. Use natural (e.g. vinegar) disinfectants to clean the cage, or just use water. Other disinfectants, such as soap will irritate his skin

2. He is allergic to dust that comes with commercial beddings. Adopter will need to shred kitchen paper towels or unbleached tissue paper as bedding.

3. His skin does not react to Wittmolen sand, so it is suggested to use that for Barry.

4. Adopter should be prepared to bring him to the vet if he has any skin issues in the future. His infection was likely a result of poor immunity, and adopter should be financially and mentally prepared.

Riley (Adopted

Species: Winter White

Estimated age: 1 year

Gender: Female

Likes: Making burrows, collecting handouts (uhm! seeds!) from your hands

Dislikes: Being woken up in the middle of the day.. she squeaks!

Riley is a curious and lovely girl, who would pop out of her hiding place to say hello if she hears you calling for her. She used to nibble on people's hands quite a bit, but that's all in the past and she never meant any harm. :) Riley is independent enough not to demand for pets or constant attention, but she's happy to be picked up and given some TLC once or twice a day.

As like all hammies, Riley doesn't like sudden movements but she loves it if you would sit and read to her. She's definitely a great companion, but probably not the best friend to share a bedroom with -- her favourite night time activity is playing with metallic tip of her water bottle :P

Riley is an easygoing and good natured girl, and doesn't demand much beyond the basics that's recommended. Who did i hear looking out for a new best best friend? :)

Luca (Adopted)

Species: Dwarf Hybrid
Estimated age: 3-4 months old
Gender: Male
Likes: Burrowing, sprays and human interaction
Dislikes: Being woken up
Fosterer's Instagram highlight link: here!

Luca was rescued in the beginning of December with many other hamsters. They were all in really bad shape but thankfully, he was a healthy boy.

In the beginning, Luca was very timid and would often bite anything that entered his cage. But he has come a long way. Since then, he has become the tamest and curious boy ever! He now enjoys spending his days sleeping the morning away and coming out in the late afternoon to run on his wheel, munching on sprays and asking for attention when he sees people around.

Luca loves being treated like the baby that he is and will gladly climb onto your hand to be syringe fed with fatpouches mash food (his favourite). He is also one of the few hamsters that responds to his name when called (you can check out the highlight link for proof!). Luca loves burrowing into bedding to sleep so deep bedding is required for him.

Luca is looking for someone that will be able to interact with him in the late afternoons and spoil him with a variety of sprays and deep bedding for him to forage and be stimulated during his waking hours.

Cage: Unbarred cage; IKEA SAMLA or anything bigger
Wheel: 21cm or larger

Maize (Adopted)

Estimated DOB: 1 Dec 2020

Gender: Female

Likes: Mealworms, sand, GOOD food, millet sprays, wheel wheel wheel

Before you continue reading the girls’ profile, please check out this video of her and her sisters moving their ears in sync during their photoshoot. If the video above is not enough to make you go AWWW, please check out this Instagram highlight compilation of them!

The smallest one of the group, Maize is the most skittish and is also super speedy. She was also bullied, and always screaming and hiding away from the rest of her siblings :-( Now that she has her own cage, she will definitely regain her confidence in no time. Her fosterer will continue working hard and get her comfortable with human touch so please give her a chance!
