Uni is a gluttonous feisty girl, she will not hesitate to defend her humble abode or her food. However, once bribed (with food or treats), or taken out of her home, she becomes a mild squishy stress ball. She has a history of cage rage, so she doesn't like to be confined to small spaces, she will attack and if she is overly stressed she will hiccup.

Uni is unfortunately also a nasty pee smearer. She pees on her wheel, platforms and her corners, and only uses her sand for cleaning (after being touched by hands…) She loves hiding in corners and her mini burrows, so thick bedding would be ideal for her.

Uni is a sweet girl who just needs a family who respects her personal space and pampers her wholeheartedly, she has the potential to be a cuddle bug with love and time.

Requirements for Uni Adoption:

Cage: No-Barred Cage, Fully Covered Enclosure

Hamsters are notorious climbers and will attempt to climb anything. To prevent Uni from falling from heights, her enclosure should be barless.

Hamsters are also notorious curious creatures. The enclosure needs to be fully covered with a weighted (Locks also can) lid to ensure she does not escape. Do note if it is fully covered, ensure the enclosure is placed in a well-ventilated area or fully shaded. (Ventilation and Heat)

Wheel: 21 cm Wheel or larger

Uni loves running at night. Do get a silent wheel if you are a light sleeper.

Accessories: Non-wooden Accessories

To reduce the risk of bacterial or yeast/mould related infections, would prefer the adopter to opt for non-wooden options for accessories within the cage. Acrylic, ceramic or glassware can be used.
