Pearl came to us with a surprise. She was pregnant when she was handed over. Unfortunately, her babies did not make it and she had to go through surgery to be sterilised. (More about her situation can be found on HSS’s instagram)

Despite the whole ordeal, She has successfully recovered and has returned to being a normal healthy Syrian hamster. She also has been steadily gaining weight and fur.

She is relatively laid back and very affectionate. She loves running on her wheel and switches to a saucer from time to time.

Requirements:

27-30cm Wheel

Housed in an unbarred enclosure (3ft glass tanks or 80x50cm acrylic tanks are recommended as her minimum)

Dust free bedding (Sifted Oxbow mix with tissues/teabag bedding. No Aspen)

Food recommended: Fatpouches premium mix no mealworms & Lab blocks
