Enrichment: min. 3 hideouts including a multi-chamber and ceramic hide or tile

Miata was from an accidental litter of 4 babies that were taken into HSS custody. While she was Initially a skittish and fearful ham baby, she has grown into a braver (and much chonkier) girl over the past few weeks.

A bit shy at first, Miata prefers to observe the world from a safe distance but will warm up with patience (and snacks). Once comfortable, Miata enjoys running on her wheel, digging burrows, and exploring. She's usually asleep in the day and tends to come out of her burrow in the evenings/night.

Despite being a sweet baby, Miata is not afraid to let out angry screams when surprised or when she's rudely awakened — so be prepared for tiny screams. However, with gentle handling and lots of treats, Miata is learning that humans aren’t so scary.

Miata will thrive in a spacious enclosure with plenty of burrowing material, hideouts, and enrichment to explore at her own pace. With love, patience, and lots of yummy bribes, Miata will make a wonderful companion!
