Captain is full of energy and loves human interaction. He is hand tamed and will come out when there is movement or sound around the cage. He loves running on his wheel throughout the night from lights-off to lights-on. He has a bunch of energy to expend so he spends most of his time on the wheel at night.

This adorable boy is an absolute foodie, and accepts most treats. He loves using a water bowl. Ceramic tiles/plates and pebbles are highly recommended to be placed in his cage as he loves to lay on it to nap when it’s hot out.

Captain has sensitive skin as he used to sleep where he pees. After months of care and potty training efforts, he is now healthy and potty trained to pee in sand. Hence, adopters would have to regularly clean his sand and check his sleeping area to ensure that he is not sleeping in his pee again. It is recommended to have a large sand bath with a hideout in the sand bath as this is how Captain has been potty trained by his fosterer.

Requirements:

Cage: 80x40cm or bigger, no bars

Wheel: 21cm or bigger, non-wooden as he sometimes pees on his wheel

Sand: Witte Molen & a minimum sand bath size of 24x17cm (Captain is using an IKEA Variera now)

Bedding: FP Teabag bedding

Diet: Fatpouches, SS pellets and fresh vegetables every other day

Enrichment: Multiple hideouts, whimzees, cooling plates
