Chewie (Adopted)

Species: Syrian (Long-haired)

Gender: Male

Age: Est 1.5 years old

Likes: Hiding in his man cave. His privacy. Dried tofu!

Dislikes: Small, dusty pieces of bedding that will get stuck on his fur. Loud noises and being squeezed scares him
Fosterers’ Instagram: @nuggetpudding

Chewie is a shy boy that hides most of the day, rarely coming out. He only comes out of his man-cave once a day for food and water and then he will tiptoe back into his hideout. If you miss that food and water moment, you might think that you’re just looking at his furry butt peeking out of the hideout for days (Or you might just hear him running the wheel at 4am).

He’s a very simple and low maintenance companion, some may say he’s quite the boring guy! Despite this, Chewie respects humans and knows that he’s safe in our hands. He will need an owner that will supervise him when being handled by anyone else, especially children, so that he does not get squeezed, dropped, or screamed at.

When drinking water or munching food, he will be fully focused and won’t move while being petted (his fosterer loves grooming his fur when he’s snacking). He relaxes when being picked up and is ok with play times & fur combing using a soft bristle toothbrush. Sometimes, he will give you a nibble when he’s telling you that he wants to go back home (Aww!).

Chewie is a no fuss hamster that just needs a loving home that can care for him and love him for the rest of his days and be by his side–for better or worse, in sickness and health.

Don Don (Adopted)

Species : Dwarf winter white

Estimated age : 1 year old

Gender : Male

Likes : Being handled gently and patiently.

Dislikes : oak, oak, oak

Meet Don Don!

Mr Don Don is a sweet gentleman, stops and peeps at you with his dreamy eyes that makes him irresistibly cute.

He isn't potty trained though and tends to pee at a specific corner and thus his cage needs to be spot cleaned more frequently. He also has a tendency to dirty his wheel. Excuse this fella, he will makes up for it with his gentle mannerisms.

He has been with his foster for a few months now and has chonk up a fair bit. Gonna love those belly rolls. If he is lazing on his wheel, you can pet and pet and pet him for a really long time. He never once give a hard bite, only nibbles when he disapproves.

Don Don isn't fussy with his food, he is on Bunny Nature Dwarf Expert and fresh vegetables and fruits.

Will you be the one to patiently love and nurture him?

Requirements:

Cage: (floor space) 70cm × 40cm

Enrichment: Multiple hideouts and hiding spots. Paper boxes.

Wheel: 21cm plastic/acrylic wheel

Bedding: Soft paper-based bedding (currently on Oxbow/ hand shredded tissue)

Diet: Standard/Premium Fatpouches seed mix/Bunny Nature Dwarf Expert. Fresh vegetables and fruits.

Gretel (Adopted)

Name: Gretel
Species:
Syrian

Estimated age: approx. 5 weeks

Gender: Female

Likes: Napping in cereal box, large sandbox, Mazuri feed

Dislikes: Sudden movement, human hands

In the fairytale, Hansel & Gretel leaves a food trail only to return and realise it’s all gone. With this sweet, little hammy Gretel, it’s the opposite. She’s the shy one who peeks her head out of her hide to sneak the food away.

Gretel spends most of her day nesting comfortably in her hide and comes out at night to nom, especially when she hears or smells newly placed food/ treats. Gretel is a quiet girl who, with patience and love, would learn to trust human hands and come out of her hide more regularly.

Will you be the one to give this baby her furever home?

Macca (Adopted)

Name: Macca (short for Macadamia)

Species: Campbell dwarf hamster

He’s slowly warming up to his fosterer though, and lets himself be petted from time to time. Over time, he too will learn to trust his fur-ever owner.
