Atta boy, Otto!
Bones (Adopted)
Species: Syrian
Gender: Male
D.O.B: 10th October 2022
Likes: Food, sleeping in the dark, people being gentle with him, running in his wheel, free roam, climbing
Dislikes: Sudden noises, grabby hands, sharing food
Escape artist extraordinaire, Bones can often be found sleeping in dark, sheltered areas or buried deep under bedding, like a pile of bones. He is frequently caught sleeping even when it’s mealtime and is often the last to wake even while the rest of his siblings are already busy stuffing food in their faces and while his foster mum is trying to stroke him awake.
When he wakes, he generally tends to do so in a panic and you’ll catch a glimpse of a dark shadow bolting across the cage.
Bones is very likely to leap off tall surfaces just to get away from human hands no matter the height. It is highly recommended to start taming and getting him used to human hands before picking him up and lifting him off the ground. Due to this, his fosterer is unable to recommend for children or inexperienced handlers to adopt him. Any handling should be done in very slow and controlled movements.
During free roam, he will take some time to warm up his engine by grooming for around 3 mins or so. After that, off he goes to explore and poke his nose and try to squeeze into every hole. He loves to climb so please do watch him very closely when he's out. But he is growing to be a cute sweetheart who would respond to the relentless calls from his fosterer every morning (just to check that he has not escaped in the night).

Cassia (Adopted)
Species: Roborovski
Gender: Female
Age: 6 months
Likes: Food, pine nuts, burrowing, sand!!! (and some head rubs if she lets you)
Dislikes: Sudden noises, when you take her food bowl :(
Fosterer’s Instagram: @justburrowing
A tiny energizer bunny with a curious mind, Cassia is a sweet little thing. She once used to live with her sister who had been adopted out. Despite being the smaller of the two, Cassia was always the one leading the charge when the duo comes out at night to explore their surroundings in search of more food. Some say she is a natural leader, but others argue that she is just extra kaypoh.
Brave little Cassia is tame & when given some time to open up to you, she will not only be your cuddle buddy but lets you give her some head rubs. Tiny but mighty runner by night, she enjoys running the wheel like she would run a marathon!
She is waiting for her furever home that could offer her all the treats she deserve & lots of cuddles if you have any spare time for her
Things to note when adopting Roborovskis:
1. Adopters should make sure to get a glass tank/acrylic cage that does not have bars as Roborovski hamsters are smaller and can squeeze through the gaps.
2. 1/3 of the cage should be covered with sand as Roborovski hamsters tend to become excessively ‘greasy’ when an appropriately sized sand area is not given.
3. A wheel that is minimally 21cm should still be provided even if they are smaller in size as compared to dwarf hamsters.
4. They are fast and may not be suitable for children. Some may also nip/bite.
5. Taming is not guaranteed, but possible with lots of patience, time and love!
