Yu is a brave warrior who not only fought his way back from the brink of death, but into the pink of health and into the hearts of everyone he meets.

When he first arrived, he was very weak and suffered from a pretty severe upper respiratory infection and an abnormal growth on his paw. Needless to say, he fought valiantly and refused to give up. After several trips to the vet and an operation, Yu is now a happy, healthy, sweet little hammo!

Now, this little ball of inspiration is enjoying his life and on the lookout for his furever home. His favourite activity is snuggling up in a corner to sleep. Yu is tame, calm and easy to handle. When he was sick he was also the easiest, least fussy hamster who would sweetly take his medicine then lick his fosterer. Now that he has healed, he enjoys daily massages!

Yu's calm energy and sweet spirit will win anyone over but he will require more experienced pawrent who is able to continue to monitor his health closely, and is able to check that his growth does not return.
