Fosterer's IG Highlight of Supper: here
Supper was surrendered to us with his brother, Dinner, and has the brightest personality ever! He loves his wheel and does nearly everything on it, which is why there are so many photos of him sleeping while curling up into a ball on his wheel. He is very energetic and zooms around his cage like the roborovski he is. Most importantly, he does everything in the open so that people can watch his cage like watching TV. He loves to groom himself and make himself have a center parting which is super adorable!
One important thing to note would be that Supper is still very skittish despite attempts at taming. Supper is best treated as a "see, no touch" hamster which is okay since he is so expressive and open! Adopters are encouraged to still try to interact with Supper, but should be prepared for Supper to resist human touch.
Things to note when adopting Roborovskis:
1. Adopters should make sure to get a glass tank/bin cage/acrylic cage that does not have bars as roborovski hamsters are smaller and can squeeze through the gaps.
2. 1/3 of the cage should be covered with sand as roborovski hamsters tend to become excessively ‘greasy’ when an appropriately sized sand area is not given.
3. A wheel that is minimally 21cm should still be provided even if they are smaller in size as compared to dwarf hamsters.
4. They are fast and might not be suitable for children. Some may also nip/bite.
5. Taming is not guaranteed, but possible with lots of patience, time and love!
