Puffin is a very loveable puff ball who knows how to pose for the camera! He is extremely photogenic and stays still/ moves slowly while you’re snapping pictures. He definitely knows how to work it for the gram. He loves being handfed (i.e. you hold the treat and he just eats) and fussed over. He loves zooming on his wheel and can occasionally be found snoozing on it with his whole back stretched out over the curvature of the wheel (in a U shape). Puffin sleeps in the strangest and arguably cutest positions (e.g. body in paper towel roll and head or butt sticking out and in his sand pit on his side with his left hind leg sticking out in the air). He also has a peculiar habit of peeing at the top right and bottom left corners of his cage. There’s never a dull moment with this puff!

Puffin is a slow eater and takes some time to finish his seed mix but he loves fresh vegetables and enjoys a daily serving. Ideally, his new family should continue offering him a variety of fresh vegetables daily/ every other day to ensure he is getting all the nutrients he needs! He also really doesn’t like green beans… he literally picks them out of his seed mix and goes on a lil hunger strike while waiting for his food top up…

He is inquisitive and confident around and on hooman hands (cus he is often handfed). He likes to sniff and is very calm when taken out of his cage for bonding sessions. He does not show any signs of aggression when you try to bond with him inside his cage (i.e. he doesn’t bite) but he is usually distracted by his comfy hideouts for a prolonged bonding session. Hence, his new family should continue the bonding process by taking him out of his cage (via a hideout or a cup) and interacting with him :-)
