Likes: fresh vegetables (xiao bai cai, shanghai green, dou miao, cabbage), pine nuts, pistachio, Heinz pumpkin potato and beef baby food, flax seeds

Elmo is a curious critter who has a great temper and a remarkably smooth coat of fur (that’s right, scoring points with both his personality and looks!) Upon hearing a new sound, you will first spot his twitchy whiskers and his nosey little snout poking out of his hideout before he emerges to explore! Very sneaky… He likes to dart around his cage, from one hideout to another and likes his ceramic hideouts! He doesn’t have a favorite hideout yet and alternates between all of them.
Elmo is gentle and comfortable with being held once he has gotten used to his surroundings. When you first take him out of his hideout to interact with him, you will observe some hesitance as he tries to figure out what is going on (refer above for his SOP hehe) but just give him some time. Once he willingly comes out of the hideout, he allows himself to be gently picked up and stroked!
He is a picky eater and unfortunately, after trying 4 different seed mixes, his fosteror has concluded that he does not have a favourite and loves/ hates all the seed mixes equally :-( Thankfully he has managed to put on some weight as he is offered fresh vegetables daily and baby food on alternate days and he loves it! He has expressed an obvious preference for fresh foods and will sit in his fresh food bowl if it is empty and stare at you sadly. Thus, it would be wonderful if his new family can continue supplementing his diet with fresh vegetables!
