Bunny (not rabbit) the Hamster, is a sweet senior hamster who was rescued from a breeder/hoarding case. Despite her traumatic past of neglect and abuse, she remains an energetic sweet girl who loves her treats.

Bunny is a senior ham with cataracts and so she has minimal vision, so she tilts around to try her best to see her surroundings. Hence sudden movement or sounds may scare her. Do speak to her softly, and gently and slowly approach her with your hand to prevent her from falling over.

She is also a very active hamster who loves running, wheel, and saucer, alternating between those two options throughout the night. Outpacing the younger junior fosters in the house. She loves short cuddles and also free roam around a soft padded area, due to her age. All in all, Bunny is a very adorable sweetheart who loves her food.

Think of your grandma, she is that grandma who runs ahead of you and laughs, but also smiles when you buy her favourite (mealworm) tau sar piah.

Requirements:

  1. No-Bar Cages, Due to her age, she should not bar climb.

  2. Dust-free bedding: She and her sister, Buttons, are sensitive to dust, skin, and eyes will get infections if exposed to dusty environments.

  3. Dedication for Vet Visit and Treatment, as she is a senior ham, her probability to fall sick is higher and hence adopter must be ready to go for vet visits and to syringe feed her medicine if required, and Bunny will fight you. No joke about this strong-willed Ahma ham.
