Machi was super oily when he first arrived. After adding a large sand bath with a hideout inside, Machi can be spotted frequenting the sand bath to keep his oiliness at bay!

If you think you’ve seen a greedy boi, think again! Machi will always vacuum up food that has just been left in his cage. Think that’s fast? He can be faster. If you feed him treats, he will ask you for more and start nomming on the treats almost right away.

Machi is hand tamed and loves to free roam. Adopters are recommended to free roam Machi for approx. 30mins to an hour to let him wear his energy down. Besides free roaming, he also loves his wheel. He loves it so much that he pees on it too! Hence, a non-wooden wheel is recommended.

Cage: unbarred acrylic cage that meets HSS’ requirements

Wheel: 21cm, non-wooden as he pees on his wheel

Sand: any HSS approved sand & minimum A4 sized sand bath

Bedding: Oxbow or Fatpouches paper bedding

Diet: Fatpouches seed mix and fresh vegetables every other day

Enrichment: At least 3 hideouts, whimzees, sprays (millet, flax seeds & sunflower seeds are hs fav) grapevine/cork logs/bridges, forage
