Kaypo was housed with his siblings and mother so there isn’t a lot of space for him to satisfy his curiosity from the bottom of a bucket. He is thus very grateful for a larger home for him to do his zooming, digging and hiding. If you have a conversation near his home, you can watch the bedding move as he tries to listen into the conversation. He has mastered walking and hopping on his hind legs like an eager student trying to give his input into the conversation.
Kaypo does not like to be handled but he is very curious about hands and fingers. He may bite at first but he adapts quickly so future adopters can consider starting with gloves and slowly progressing to do without. He allows head pats and body massages while he is eating or lepaking but please be gentle. He gives off a tough guy exterior but all he really wants is a nice pat pat on his bum bum.
As mentioned, he loves zoomies and obstacle courses (tunnels and tubes are his favourites) so future adopters should provide him a home of at least 80cm without bars and be on a lookout when he free roams. He is not potty-trained but his pee spots are predictable (usually at the corners) so it is easy to spot-clean. Just a note, he has a habit to eat his seed mixes quickly and his vegetables slowly so don’t panic if you see the veggies untouched the whole day (he will get around to it, eventually).

Cage: at least 80cm, no bars
Wheel: 21cm
Bedding: currently using teabag bedding (to see his pee clearly), can explore other beddings that can hold the burrows better.
Food: fatpouches seed mix (bougie on a budget for dwarves and truffle hamster seed mix), fresh veggies everyday
Enrichment: many tunnels, can consider giving platforms (but do give a deep bedding as he’s a daredevil)
