Turtle was rescued as a young ham with 20 other hamsters after they were abandoned at a void deck one evening. Initially kept in the same cage as the other 20 hamsters, she now enjoys a cage and wheel all to herself.
Turtle is a sweet, friendly girl with the most adorable face. She constantly has the funniest expressions and always brightens her fosterer’s day. Like most young syrians, she’s full of energy and loves exploring, foraging, burrowing, and free-roaming. As such, Turtle would love a big cage with deep bedding and lots of enrichment to satisfy her curiosity as she can be mischievous when bored. Turtle is currently being scatter-fed and enjoys gathering her food and making little hoards. She spends most of the day sleeping, coming out in the early evening to run on her wheel, stare at her fosterer, and wait for treats >:)
Although she doesn’t like being grabbed or picked up, Turtle is comfortable with human hands. She readily takes food from her fosterer, and will sometimes even crawl onto an open palm. She is big chonky foodie who can definitely be bribed with lots of good and yummy food.
Turtle is an adorable floof with a great temperament who will definitely bring you lots of smiles and joy!
