Chicory is a tiny ham (who only reached 40g after enjoying buffet for weeks) with short body and smol feet that make her look like she is still a baby. Her big brights eyes are always looking out with curiosity but you may wanna hold back your urge to grab her for a second. This little ball of fur can be fierce…don’t be deceived by her sweetest look!

Coming from a rough childhood with many siblings in one cage, she did not have a very peaceful start unfortunately. There were many fights when they were surrendered. This made her startle easily and she is obviously careful when approached by hooman hands (unless she is eating…). She runs as fast as a lightening and does not necessarily enjoy a very long cuddling.

But that shouldn’t keep your hands off of her because she is not just a scared little ham. She spent plenty of time with her foster getting used to hooman handling so now she hardly nips (but don’t try to wake her up from sleeps…she does not like that!) and she even enjoys splooting on your hand if you lovingly massage her. The key to her heart is the patience…and tasty treats, of course. Duh. :)

As you can see from the pictures, Chicory is an amazing ham model too if you love snapping pictures. Ideal adopter will be someone who is an experienced ham owner who is able to handle a princess ham. Small kids handling is not advisable for Chicory as she gets startled easily and although not often, she will test-nip the finger sometimes out of curiosity.
