Xara (Adopted)

Species: Syrian
Estimated age: 5 weeks
Gender: Female
Likes: sqooshing herself in a corner to sleep, running on her wheel in the dark and staring at you in shock when you turn the lights on, cabbage, corn, broccoli, sio peck chye, boiled chicken, Jerusalem artichoke, Heinz baby food (pumpkin potato and beef), carrots, yellow millet
Dislikes: sudden movements

Xara is a comical and curious little critter who is unafraid to explore everything life has to offer! She is always poking her nose around (literally) to explore new sounds and smells though she is a rather deep sleeper. She eats her seed mix and fresh vegetables well since she is not particularly fussy. To continue the taming process, adopters should continue to acclimatize Xara to human touch both in and outside her cage (she is more comfortable with the latter). She does not bite but she seeks your patience with her as she is just a lil baby!

Xara was born to be an entertainer and you can tell from how she likes to freeze mid-movement to stare at you (imagine a mime artist in the midst of his performance). She somehow manages this while looking very adorable… definitely an aspiring super (ham)star! Though not necessary, her adopters will find that investing in a glass tank/ acrylic cage will be worth their while since Xara loves to sqoosh herself against the walls of her cage for her naps. She likes to curl up in a ball to sleep (her feet are literally in her face sometimes) and many sneaky pictures and videos have been taken to remember these precious moments :’-)

The little bean also likes to pouch fresh vegetables back to her little nest to feast in privacy and to maintain her superstar image. You might be able to catch a glimpse of her unpouching if you are lucky (otherwise just ask her fosteror for a video hehe.)

Xara was born to be a star and she’s looking for someone who is willing her to give her the limelight she deserves! Could that be you? :-)

P.S. Scroll to the end of her reel (below) for a surprise!

Note:

Her new family should note that Xara is young (she is a baby….) and requires a higher level of protein (e.g. tofu, egg whites and boiled chicken) to supplement her growth for the next few months. She has grown well under her current diet and her fosteror will share more about her nutritional requirements :-)
