Kenma was shy before, but has since come out of his shell and is like a completely new hamster. Now he has a zest for life and is oh-so-needy. He is desperate for your attention, and climbs all over his cage to request playtime and freeroam time with you. He loves hanging out on shoulders and playing in hair. When you hold him, he will try to climb up your shirt to reach your shoulders! Although he may be an older hamster, you wouldn't be able to tell from his energy level! He adores running on his wheel and monkey-barring on the lid of his acrylic cage. When you finally put your hand into his cage, he scrambles up your arm!

He's also so destructive, like a toddler. He chewed a huge hole in his plastic tube, which had to be thrown out. It's just a testament to Kenma's keen sense of interior design and his stubborn attitude. His way or the highway! He enjoys having many different hideouts for variety, too.

Kenma is also a very good boy. He's been trained to not be picky when it comes to his food, and clears his foodbowl almost instantly the day after a refill. He also cleans off his fresh food overnight. But be warned - he loves to hoard, and so his owners need to make sure he actually eats his food before giving him more stock for his hoard. Kenma is still working on his potty-training. He pees in sand, but also pees occasionally on his wheel as he runs.

Kenma is keenly curious and gets a lot of enrichment from new substrates, new hideouts and the occasional change in his cage layouts. He also loves digging tunnels and building his nest. He is also having a great time digging in his deep sand bath and his fur is so soft from it! Though new experiences are exciting, Kenma sticks to his schedules. He comes out at the same time every night to begin begging for attention and also knows when to wait at his foodbowl for his daily fresh food refill.

Although he was a bit reserved at first, once we've gotten to know him, Kenma has become one of the most outgoing and attention-seeking hamsters we have ever gotten the pleasure to meet. Will you be the one to bring him to his forever home?

Requirements:
Cage - Kenma is currently residing in an acrylic cage with a floor area of 4200cm², but still shows a need for a bigger space. Hence, adopters are recommended to get a cage (e.g. 90/100cm x 50cm) that is bigger than his current one. Alternatively, allow Kenma to freeroam daily or give him attention when he asks for it so he does not get too frustrated in his cage.

Food - Kenma has been fed Rodipet and Bunny Nature Expert without issues. He also likes Mazuri lab blocks, and pouches them first when his food bowl is refilled.

Enrichment: At least 3 hideouts, various substrates recommended
