Fosterer's IGS of Goober: here
Greedy little Goober was one of the many hamsters rescued from a hoarder situation. As a result, he was extremely skittish when he first went to live with his fosterer but now with the help of some yummy snacks, he is slowly emerging from his shell.
In a mere week, Goober has transformed from a nervous wreck into a curious, sand-loving beach ball. Unlike most hamsters who prefer to sleep in hideouts or under thick bedding, Goober enjoys sleeping in a sheltered corner of his sand bath. This slightly odd, yet adorable habit is also the reason why Goober has an amazing coat of light grey fur that is both dense and extremely soft.
Apart from preferring to live his life like a beach bum, Goober also enjoys exploring his surroundings when his fosterer takes him out of his cage – although he may resist being picked up by unfamiliar hands at the beginning. True to his beach bum personality, Goober is not one who enjoys being woken up. He will stare daggers into your soul and push your fingers away like a complete diva if you do so.
Ultimately, this lazy beach ball is definitely one who will blossom in the care of a patient owner who is willing to work with him to get him feeling more comfortable with being picked up and to teach him that fingers aren’t food. That sounds like you? Great, then Goober’s your boy.
