Furmino has one eye and has been seen by the vet. The vet can't be 100% certain if he lost his eye during a fight with a cage mate prior to his rescue or if he was born as in.
As instructed by the vet, Furmino can only have a short time under supervision in his sand bath, and the side with his missing eye must be gently cleaned with saline solution.

Furmino is quite kaypoh but does not like to be held. He will be suitable for you if you can take special care of his needs daily and be ok with not handling him too much until he may be tamed.

You can interact with him and engage him without touching him. Please do not let the picture of him being held in our hands mislead you. He is very skittish, very fast, will run very fast when let out of his enclosure.

Despite all odds, Furmino is a wonderful hamster who is very kaypoh and curious. You can tell that he loves to play and be engaged, and absolutely loves food! He is totally living life to the fullest!
