Doggo (Adopted)
Species: Syrian
Estimated age: < 4 months
Gender: Male
Likes: Pine nuts, His sand bath
Dislikes: Being startled awake
Fosterer’s Instagram: @sailing_contradictions
Doggo and his sister Catto were part of a huge rescue by HSS volunteers, and since then he has learned to socialize well with humans.
He is not picky with any food, be it sprays or seed mix, and will readily eat, gain weight, and snooze in his sand bath during the day while running his marathon at night. He would fit in well with families without children or only older children as picking him up will require a firm and gentle grasp. Taming through regular hand feeding is also recommended to make him more friendly and less easily spooked while improving the quality of daily interactions.
Doggo is potty trained, and will not pee anywhere other than in his designated sand bath of Wittemolen sand. To ensure this behaviour persists, a large sand bath is necessary for adopters, unless one wishes to re-train him again. Doggo is a sweetheart in search of a good home, but taking pictures may be tough as he is really dark.
