Joe is one adorable chubby guy! He is shy, and hides most of the day, but he is very trusting of humans and extremely gentle. He loves food too so he will crawl out of his hideout and greet you on two feet when he smells something yummy. If you manage to see him out of his man cave, Joe fully relaxes when being picked up, and allows to be held in your palms. He is the sweetest and also a blur-sotong and will bring lots of joy and smiles to his human companion(s).
He was found to have abscess behind his right eye and requires simple cleaning and wiping away of pus from time to time. He doesn’t enjoy getting his eye cleaned, and may super gently nibble to tell you that he’s uncomfortable (you might not even realise he nibbled you because he is SO gentle!). You will love him even more with each eye clean because he is that sweet and patient with humans.
When he was rescued, Joe’s right eye was completely sealed shut, he was in a bad shape. But with tender loving care from his fosterers, Joe’s eye today is bright and perky, and has improved so much! Joe’s eyes still require supervision, as the abscess comes and goes.
IMPORTANT: Joe requires a calm adult to be his main caregiver and handler. He prefers not to have children grab him or squeeze him. Joe needs an owner that is ready to watch his health, especially eye health, which may include possible vet visits in the future (Note: Not exclusive to Joe, but ALL domestic pets need an owner that will bring them to the vet when necessary!)
Nevertheless, we believe that everyone will fall in love with his signature bed head! Joe will definitely steal your heart!
