If there is one thing you should take away from reading Panic’s profile, it is that this boy is insane but also unbelievably entertaining. You’re definitely in for a ride if you adopt this kid.
Panic is named for his panicky personality and his tendency to run at full speed everywhere in his cage, not achieving anything of note, as though his house caught fire and he’s panicking over what to do. He makes sharp turns while doing so. Surprisingly, he has never accidentally slipped so far.
As most hamsters do, Panic loves his wheel and is frequently exercising in it whenever he is able. He considers his wheel and one of his ceramic hideouts that has two exits to be his safe spaces; probably because there are multiple exits so he can escape whenever.
When he first arrived at his fosterer’s place, he would scream and run off to hide somewhere over the littlest things. Some of these things include his fosterer’s shadows, bedding that he accidentally kicked up, and his fosterer’s switching from a sitting to a standing position right in front of his cage. Nowadays, he just burrows deep into his bedding and hides there in his personal panic room (pun intended).
Aside from his little idiosyncrasies, his fosterer noted that he looks similar to Totoro, the gigantic grey creature from Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away with his long ears that point almost straight up when he’s avidly listening out for weird noises that go bump in the night. Very adorable but also very paranoid.
