Minni (Adopted)
Species: Dwarf
Estimated age: 5 weeks old
Gender: Female
Likes: running on wheel, flax spray, tofu
Dislikes: get disturb while sleeping, sudden movement
Minni was so tiny when she came to her foster home.
She learnt to be protective of herself and her space after separating from her siblings and mummy. This little gal is timid, loves hiding in her burrow and sleeps most of the day. It’s better not to disturb her beauty sleep else she squeaks! She loves getting on her wheel every night, showing off her F1 racer mode. Hence, she needs an enclosure with many enrichments for her to explore and zoom around.
Give her more time to warm up to new home. She may be nervous when interacting with hands and fingers but curious enough to come closer to sniff and check on snacks. Sometimes she is okay with a little pet when she is eating but she will zoom away if there is any sudden movement.
Minni is not potty train and tends to pee in her hideout and tunnel, spot cleaning is a must for any unwanted smell. Her fosterer thought she smelled like some berry herb.
Minni hopes she finds someone who has proper knowledge of handling hamsters, especially since she is still young and small in size. She will need an adopter who has the patience to interact with her, so that she can get used to being held. Shower her with plenty of love, let her enjoy being a happyham.
Cage: unbarred and standard HSS requirement.
Wheel: 21cm. Currently using Wild Sanko 21cm wheel which she can control well without tripping herself
Sand: Wittemolen or Versele Laga Chinchilla Sand for potty train and sand bath
Bedding: Currently using Oxbow Pure Comfort and Fatpouches Paper Nest
Food: Currently on Fatpouches Premier mix and Standard mix as main food + All sort of Fatpouches Dried Herbs & Flowers, tofu
Enrichment: at least 3 or 4 hideouts, Forage & sprays to keep her happy.
