Fusilli (Adopted)
Species: Winter white
Estimated age: 5-6 Months
Gender: female
Likes: sunflower seeds, millet sprays, cucumber, apple, bok choy, chicken, scrambled egg, superworms, dried tofu, puffed wheat.. literally anything edible
Dislikes: sudden movements
Fusilli was rescued from a hoarding case with the chance that she could have been pregnant. Her fosterer was monitoring her weight, which increased so suddenly that the fosterer assumed she was pregnant and put lots of food in her cage. Well, Fusilli was not pregnant. She just had a deep desire to become a chonk.
The way to Fusilli’s heart is through food. She is very shy but when you shake the food container, she will pop her head out. She will happily sit/eat on your hand, be stroked, squished etc. as long as there is food in front of her. Even if she spooks herself, she will eventually come back to keep eating. Fusilli will always stick her head out of her bedding for a treat, and is quite happy to take them from your hands, or eat it while you hold it for her. You can always tell when she is eating in her nest because she makes little chirping noises - literally a super foodie. Luckily she loves to run on the wheel at night to burn off the calories, and you might even catch her napping on it.
As Fusilli was rescued, she does not really have any experience with sand. She doesn’t know what to do with it, just kind of walks across it. She is not currently toilet trained, but does pee the same spots in the cage, making it easy to clean. She prefers sleeping in her bedding nest than her hideouts, but it would be good to provide her with some ceramic ones just in case it gets too hot for her.
As mentioned before, Fusilli is not really used to humans yet, and gets spooked by quick movements and doesn’t like being grabbed. She needs someone who can put in time to tame her and give her the love and attention (and treats) she deserves. If you think you are the one for this sweet noodle, please consider adopting Fusilli!
