Walnut is slowly opening up! When he first arrived at his current foster home, he was mad skittish and would always run away as soon as he hears people near his cage. Now, he is okay with being picked up by his fosterer, and will even occasionally pancake in her hands and give licks! This currently seems to be the case only with his fosterer but she believes that with enough time and patience, he will be equally comfortable with his new family!
His favourite spot is in the kitchen towel roll that was given to him since his first day at his current home. He sleeps, eats, and chills there (check out his IG highlight to see it for yourself!).
As Walnut is still skittish and can be extremely fearless when carried (he will just leap off your hand without any hesitation if he feels uncomfortable), he can only be handled by children with adults’ supervision AND in an enclosed safe space. However, he is definitely going to be a sweetheart with time so please be patient! Bribing him with treats (in moderation) may be a great help as he is food-motivated especially when he is in his cage.
