Gatsby (Adopted)
Species: Syrian
Estimated age: 6 months
Gender: Male
Likes: Sleeping (a lot), his Ikea Hideout
Dislikes: Being woken up >:(, being kissed on his face when he has just woken up (will push you away), Sprays
Gatsby is a sweet, shy boy. His (literal) big balls don’t count for much when his figurative balls are tiny. But not to fret! While Gatsby can be shy, he isn’t skittish. Gatsby will happily take food from your hand any time.
When he feels up to it, Gatsby enjoys a good cuddle session. He’ll curl up and fall asleep next to you, it makes you wonder if he’s slept enough, despite him spending most of the day sleeping. Otherwise, Gatsby enjoys some good free roam time and will clamber over you as he explores.
Gatsby isn’t exactly topping his class. (But who needs brains when you’re as cute as Gatsby?) Once, his fosterer accidentally scared him and he jumped right into the side of his wheel. Nothing was hurt, except his ego when he scuttled away looking almost embarrassed. He also seems very confused about what exactly to do with sprays. When offered sorghum, millet and wheat, Gatsby gave them a curious sniff and proceeded to leave them untouched in his cage for days. It is unclear if he does not know that sprays are meant to be eaten, or if he just does not like them.
Overall, Gatsby has been a darling during his stay with his fosterer, and now he’s looking for a good home. Will you be the one for him?
(Requirements)
Cage: Minimum 100x40cm unbarred
Wheel: Minimum 30cm
Bedding: His fosterer uses Teabag Bedding, but any HSS approved bedding is fine, please use enough bedding for Gatsby to burrow!
Food: Fatpouches Standard/Premium/Bougie Syrian Mix
Enrichment: Minimum 3 hideouts/multichamber. So far Gatsby hasn’t shown any interest in the sprays his fosterer has offered him, but it would be good if his adopter can offer him sprays and herbs if he ever changes his mind.
