Don’t be deceived by his small size and adorable baby face, Waffles is a chunky little boy who is heavier than he looks! Despite not receiving proper care previously, he is tame and does not bite at all. He is extremely friendly and willingly climbs onto people’s hands as long as there are treats present. He is still in the process of being potty-trained but he is almost there! (with only some occasional accidents)
As he loves rolling and digging in sand, it is advisable for keen adopters to provide a large sand box filled with a thick layer of sand for him. (Do try to scoop out the pee clumps daily!) It will be worth it when you watch him roll around and struggle to get back up on his feet due to his size. Putting a hideout in his sand bath is also highly recommended as it allows him to dig to his heart’s content in a safe space.
Waffles usually sleeps in narrow spaces to avoid being disturbed, so it’ll be good to let him get his beauty sleep in peace. Once he gets comfortable enough, he will crawl onto your palm and “pancake” on it, resting there for a long time. He will even take food out from his pouch and start munching away while lying there.
He will win your heart with his sweet chubby face and irresistibly cute antics — he definitely won over his foster’s and her sister’s.
